How You Can Help
1) Share your ideas and questions
Do you run a community kitchen? Do you have ideas to share with others? Dealing with an issue and need some feedback? Use this blog to post your comments or ideas.
2) Donate Kitchen Equipment
If you’re planning a kitchen makeover, downsizing your life, or simply tackling the clutter in that drawer by (or under) your stove, please keep us in mind. We’ll arrange to have your equipment distributed to community kitchens across the Lower Mainland. Before sending things our way, please visit our website for a listing of equipment and things to consider.
3) Provide a monetary donation
If you would like to make a monetary donation to our program, you can do so online through the Greater Vancouver Food Bank’s donation form or you can contact Diane Collis. We are a program of the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society which is a registered charity. Tax receipts will be issued for any donation of $20 or more.
4) Volunteer with us or a community kitchen near you!

Hello
My mother is downsizing and has several steam canners and many glass quart jars available. All are in excellent condition. Can you tell me if you would like to have these, if so where and when I could drop them off.
I tried to access the link ” a listing of equipment and things to consider” but this appears to be a broken link
Thanks
Thanks for letting us know about the broken link – which is now fixed!
We would love the canners and quart jars! A lot of community kitchens are starting to can right now and are looking for canning supplies. Please call Diane at 604-216-2324 to arrange a delivery time and the quantities that you have. We are located in the Food Bank Warehouse (near Venables & Raymur) and need to coordinate deliveries with them.
Thank you for thinking of us!
